Close your eyes and imagine: You’re at the altar, looking into the eyes of your soulmate. High on the fumes of everything that led to This moment, you’re about to say I Do and make everything official. You glance out and see all the people that matter to you both ... and your heart swells at the anticipation. This is it. You’re marrying the one you love, in front of everyone that loves you. How perfect is that? So when the time comes to let loose and party (because let’s be honest, organising a wedding can have its ups and downs), you want an experienced band that are easy to deal with, can do what you want, emanate fun & energy on stage and play the songs that’ll get your loved ones up and dancing all night. Coverstory is exactly that. In fact, people entrust us with these occasions so much, that this time last week? We were playing our THIRD wedding within the same family! It’s one thing to be recommended or hired on a whim. But it’s another thing entirely to be chosen time and time again for such important life events. Thank you to Erin & Harry, Ross & Lucille and Troy & Jerry for sharing your “once-in-a-lifetime” moments with us. No doubt we’ll catch up with your families at the next one! Sarah, Awan, Ross & Lisa xo

This time last week, we had the privilege of playing for the TAB Racing board - and WOW do they know how to get fired up and rowdy! The 70's themed party took place at the gorgeous Wellesley Boutique Hotel on McGinnity St in Wellington - there’s a majestic, Victorian type of atmosphere inside that makes you stand up tall and push your chest out as you sashay around the interior. Thanks to Hayden and his team from the Wellesley who looked out for us and kept us hydrated :) But our gracious hosts? Their energy and joyous vibe was infectious and had us pumping the whole night - there was an especially rousing speech made from one of the “higher ups” that had Sarah and I so amped up we probably would’ve started working for them right there and then if they asked us to :D From Sarah, Awan, Ross and Me (Lis) at Coverstory, thank you NZ Racing Board for having us - we felt totally privileged to be at your event. We’ll be remembering this night of 70's nostalgia, and non-stop dancing as one of our absolute favourites! xo Teens, adults, men, women, children, grandparents - we literally walked into a room of football reps past and present, roaring and stamping their approval as awards were being handed out ... the camaraderie was joyous to witness. And BOY did they know how to rip up the dance floor after! It's one of the best things about getting the opportunity to gig ... watching the audience cast off their cares and worries, to lose themselves in the energy and vibe of the music.
Such a great way to spend the night - jamming with friends and vibing with the crowd. There's no other feeling like it 😊 Photo credit: Rosa Stewart This is a new venue that we have recently started playing at in Wanganui and wow are we impressed!! If you are wanting to check out a venue which has a variety of different bands every weekend then this is the pub. They mix it up from blues, covers, jazz, metal, heavy rock, country and sometimes the odd comedian.
This is a bar which will remind you of the live music venues that used to exist years ago so make sure you pop in for a drink and say hi to Fletch and Paul. A must visit when staying in Wanganui. Riverside Bar - www.riversidebar.co.nz 49 Taupo Quay, Wanganui It is always a blast when we play at Sandbar in Mana and it is guaranteed that these locals are going to party hard and pack out the dancefloor. This night was no different! See you guys again soon :)
